Educational and training background
Ellen Hullegie graduated in criminal as well as civil law from Utrecht University. After Ellen completed her internship with the Netherlands Bar Association, she specialised in criminal law and juvenile criminal law. She also completed her specialisation in the law relating to victims’ rights and assists victims of crime.
Ellen has extensive experience in criminal law. During her studies, she worked as a legal assistant at a law firm. She also worked in the Legal Advice Centre for Prisoners and the Nieuwegein Legal Aid Centre. Ellen acquired further experience in criminal law at the Midden-Nederland District Court (Utrecht) and for the past several years she has been working as a criminal lawyer in Utrecht.
Ellen offers an adequate approach to criminal law actions by the government, in part due to her broad based training background. Not only in criminal law, but in civil juvenile law as well.
Is your child being placed outside his/her own home or is an application for an order to place your child under supervision being submitted on behalf of the Child Protection Board? Then by approaching Ellen, you have come to the right place. She will represent your interests very satisfactorily.
Ellen has further specialised in recent years in assisting victims who have reported a crime. She can assist and guide you in reporting a crime, in drafting a request for compensation, and can speak on your behalf during the court proceedings. You can always contact her (free of obligation).
Almost every criminal case not only has an impact on the suspect, but on the victim as well. When children are involved in a court case, it not only affects the children but often also the entire family. Ellen handles all her cases with a sharp legal eye, but also at the same time with a warm heart and a sympathetic ear.
