Educational and training background
Chelsey graduated in criminal law from Utrecht University. During her studies, Chelsey worked as a legal assistant and student intern at a well-known criminal law firm. At the same time, she was a volunteer at the legal aid clinic in Utrecht.
Experience
After her studies, she was sworn in as a lawyer in 2022. She started at a renowned criminal law firm in Utrecht, where she mainly handled general criminal cases. She then worked as a lawyer at the Knoops' Advocaten office in Amsterdam. Through her experience at these various criminal law firms, Chelsey has gained a lot of knowledge about the various facets of criminal law in the Netherlands.
Vision
Criminal law is people's work. Chelsey's assistance is therefore characterized by honest and clear communication with the client. At Kuyp Baar Advocaten, Chelsey assists both suspects and victims in criminal cases. This allows Chelsey to quickly switch between the suspect's perspective on the one hand and the victim's perspective on the other.
